Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to ride the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it could stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not enough down throttle - it is powerful to hover clean as a result of you're a the very bottom finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "rate" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for high rates, another press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it moves around easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will hold newbies on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most certainly wish to soar straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only unhealthy behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, because it appears to cut energy often when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, as a consequence of this.
Battery life
Battery life is good. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and got a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is best. As a facet word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got a terrific flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The important battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was straightforward to solder on the camera energy lead, so just a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I could fly it quite a lot of brief flights (the camera already had issues from it's automobile obligation days). for sure, although, I might be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I've had a variety of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My youngsters also prefer it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise a good amount, but it is going to run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically imply crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I really appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
