Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if this is "just one other clone" or if it might stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig will not be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover smooth because you are a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs glad and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "price" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for top rates, one other press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to regulate, however will preserve novices on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will most definitely want to leap straight to the high rates. Overall, the one dangerous behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it appears to cut energy often when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, on account of this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and bought a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is healthier. As a side word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an ideal flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The main battery plug for the quad was located in order that it was easy to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so just a few screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I might fly it more than a few brief flights (the digital camera already had points from it's automotive duty days). for positive, although, I can be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I've had loads of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My children also like it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can raise a decent quantity, however it's going to run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically imply crashes - which is nice for studying to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
