Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is almost not sufficient down throttle - it is tough to hover clean as a result of you're a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs pleased and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "charge" modes, low and high. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for top charges, another press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to control, however will hold learners on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will almost definitely wish to bounce straight to the high rates. Overall, the one unhealthy behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, as it appears to cut power often when I am descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, due to this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and got a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is best. As a aspect observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an important flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The important battery plug for the quad was positioned so that it was simple to solder on the camera power lead, so a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died before I might fly it more than a few quick flights (the digital camera already had points from it is automotive duty days). for sure, although, I shall be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I've had numerous enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My youngsters also like it - they may add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can lift an honest quantity, however it is going to run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not mechanically imply crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I actually liked this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
